Banned Books Week - Day 6

There is only one law that you need to know in regards to Banned Books Week.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment Center goes into the history of censorship and highlights a few cases to explain where the law stands now in regards to banning books in libraries ... yes, it is still happening.

Be aware of what's going on in your libraries!
